Hey guys-- I just wanted to say that I followed your journey on the Internet but am now just watching the final videos. It is incredible to see such an accomplishment. I know that you are proud of yourselves, but just know that there are plenty of people who admire what you have done not only for yourselves, but for a greater cause. Congratulations and I hope to see you for Alumni Weekend in October :)

Joshua said:   June 2, 2008 12:01 pm PST
That whole running across the country thing is mildly impressive and all but you should get back so we can get some zonies. I actually owe Ken half a Zonie anyway. Plus I'll buy more to make up for that one that was sent to you but was a little bit unsafe to eat. I promise it was not a plan to get you sick and sabotage Operation NATION. NY needs you back.

Charles Vance said:   June 2, 2008 11:56 am PST

Just had a thought about you all today. Hope all is well and you are resting and planning your next great adventure; planning happy lives and making the world better. You can do anything you set your mind to. You have proven that. The Cranks from Arkansas have been keeping up with your progress, and we are so glad to have had the opportunity to meet you along your journey.

Dear Matt, Ken and Andy, On behalf of all of us in the SUNY Oneonta Athletic Department congratulations on an accomplishment of a lifetime! We as coaches truly believe that the determination, perseverance, tremendous work ethic and life long positive relationships that are nurtured and developed through college sport provide a foundation to get on with life in grand fashion! You have done it and in this moment I credit your caring coaches for cultivating your love for running in the same way you love life. We are so proud that you are alumni of Oneonta (almost Ken!) Thanks for letting us live the dream with you and best of luck in your "next" adventure - I have no doubt there is more to come from this trio! Tracey Ranieri

Thank you Andy, Matt and Ken for giving us true testimony to what the human spirit can accomplish. It may appear that "NationRun" ended on a sandy beach in San Diego today embraced by the Pacific Ocean. But "NationRun" is a spirit that live on and on. It's like a gift that will keep on giving as "NationRun" will inspire so many to be something they never thought they could be. You have lifted us up to new heights. What courage you have shown. This fantasy turned reality transcends athletic accomplishment and statistical greatness. "NationRun" is a legacy that you have left us. But the most important recipients are the three young men who gave "NationRun" a life of its own. May the three of you take that spirit of accomplishment --- that will to achieve --- and bring that spirit to a world that really needs YOU. Thanks again for the incredible journey. But I just have one question, Andy, and I asked it to Char the other night..."How the hell did Durkin gain 12 pounds?"...NATIONRUN FOREVER!

Andy, Ken & Matt; Congratulations on another week, another state and reaching a state that has a coastline on the Pacific Ocean. We are proud of all of you and all you have accomplished so far. Rest up in Blythe and recharge for your last "Nation" week. Think of the journey so far and feel all the kindness and hospitality that has sped you on your way so far. If those thoughts are not enough to help you to your destination then consider how your achieving your dream may effect the lives of those you have touched during the past four months. We love you all stay strong, stay healthy, keep your rhythm we can't wait to see you. "Nation" Mama and Papa D
